Mito Hibachi + Sushi

Ribbon Cutting

Thursday, October 5

On October 5, the Warren Center Line Chamber of Commerce hosted the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Mito Hibachi & Sushi. This new restaurant is owned by Chamber member and supporter, and Universal Mall owners, the Bostick family.

Cocktails, beverages as well as a variety of food samplings were enjoyed by all; we can guarantee this spot will be a success!

Special guests were Warren Mayor James Fouts, Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer and Warren Fire Commissioner Wilbur McAdams along with other dignitaries. As part of the ceremony, Mito Hibachi & Sushi presented a donation of $1,000 in support of Warren Police and Fire Benevolent Association.

X-Golf (St. Clair Shores)

Thursday, June 8

Do you know what helps the conversation flow in a round of golf? When you can go get another round between holes because the bar is only a few steps away! Such are benefits of virtual golf (aside from the massive amounts of fun) and the benefits of our X-Golf event this past June. Also a few steps away were a high-end buffet. And who doesn't love golfing in the air conditioning?

Over 70 members made their way to the brand new St. Clair Shores facility of our member X-Golf SCS. And as we mingled through the room, we're pretty sure we heard the sound of a deal or two closing (between some friendly ribbing and virtual cheers after impressive putts)! Special thanks are deserved by Calysto Group (our individual holes sponsor), Highway Auto Parts (food sponsor) and Bowline Financial (drinks sponsor).

Macomb County Supervisors Luncheon + Golf Outing

Wednesday, July 12

We all benefit when those who run the individual cities and townships in our county can get together and speak on issues that affect us all and common sense ways to clear up some logjams. And it helps to do so in a beautiful location like Bruce Hills Golf Course on a beautiful summer day.

The SMCC was honored to host, alongside mastermind organizer Vargo Golf, this fantastic, productive day for our Macomb County Supervisors to discuss their departmental challenges (and have some fun!) out on the links. Other sponsors for the event were Priority Waste and Outdoor Equipment Co. After a program of remarks made by our CEO John Johnson and others, the Supervisors and other department members went out on the course for a top-notch game of 18 holes.

SMCC Boat Outing

Thursday, July 13

We love boats. Our members love boats. It's summer and the weather is gorgeous. After fielding questions about its return at pretty much every luncheon we had throughout the year, it was time to bring last year's immensely successful Boat Outing back for round two! And our event sponsor and Corporate Member, Priority Waste, made it all happen.

Bright and early the coffee was on at HOOK in St. Clair Shores. Suits and ties were left at home in favor of boat shoes and sunglasses. A truly incredible breakfast buffet was provided in a bright sunroom at the edge of the dock, which got us so excited to set sail. We're so appreciative to JARS for sponsoring the breakfast (and the bloody marys, mimosas, and more).

Rain was in the forecast, so we were thrilled to see the clouds float away and reveal beautiful blue sky as we boarded the vessels. So many of our members are total pros and to see a fleet of shiny, impressive boats captained by Macomb's business leaders was quite a sight to see.

After feeling the wind whip through our hair, we arrived across Lake St Clair to break bread on the beach. It was a real party as the music was bumping, the bar was open and everyone took in the choice atmosphere of Cabana Blue.

We couldn't have asked for a better day on the water. And I think if you look at the pictures, you'll agree.

NorthPoint Development
Ribbon Cutting

The Chamber once again had another successful ribbon-cutting ceremony. This time for new member North Point Development on May 19. North Point Development is an Advisory Board Member  in the Chamber. They are currently investing nearly $200 million ounces their  warren industrial complex, which will have nationally recognized tenants such as Home Depot. Warren Mayor, Jim Fouts, and other local dignitaries were in attendance due to the Chambers Hard work.  Additionally, numerous chamber members were also in attendance and to support NorthPoint.
