Following the record-breaking January Luncheon, the Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce hosted an exclusive, invitation-only Q&A session with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill in Armada. This intimate gathering brought together 45 young entrepreneurs, offering them a rare opportunity to engage directly with the mayor in a candid discussion about business, economic growth, and the future of Michigan.

The conversation covered key topics such as improving education, expanding access to a diverse workforce, and making Michigan a more business-friendly state. A recurring theme throughout the discussion was the need to move beyond partisan politics and apply the same revitalization strategies that transformed Detroit to communities across the state. Mayor Duggan’s insights resonated with the audience, emphasizing practical solutions, collaboration, and forward-thinking policies to drive economic success.

This exclusive Q&A session reinforced SMCC’s mission to connect its members with influential leaders, fostering dialogue that inspires action and innovation. With a focus on economic growth and community development, the Chamber continues to provide unparalleled access to high-level conversations that shape the future of business in Michigan.
