About the Chamber

The launch of the Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce marks an exciting new chapter for the Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce, bringing focused support and representation to one of Macomb County’s largest and most dynamic regions. As the newest affiliate of the SMCC—a well-established chamber with a strong track record of business advocacy across Southeast Michigan—the SHCC expands that legacy by providing tailored resources and programming to meet the needs of the Sterling Heights area.

Serving the communities of Sterling Heights, Utica, Shelby Township, and Washington Township, the SHCC is especially committed to fostering growth in the region’s manufacturing, aerospace, and defense sectors—industries where Sterling Heights has long been a leader. At the same time, the Chamber supports the continued success of existing businesses of all sizes, offering a platform to grow, connect, and thrive.

In keeping with SMCC’s collaborative model, the SHCC is also building strong partnerships between the business community and local government officials. This collaborative spirit will be on full display at the Chamber’s first Networking Luncheon, scheduled for September 25, 2025, which will welcome over 500 member businesses and feature Guest Speaker Mayor Michael Taylor.

A Strong Start for Long-Term Impact

Launching with two major community-focused events—the Utica Puppy Parade and the upcoming SMCC Annual Golf Outing benefiting the Sterling Heights VFW—the Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce is off to a purposeful and impactful start. With a focus on economic development, civic engagement, and strategic sector growth, the SHCC is laying the foundation for long-term business success and vibrant community life across its four core communities.
