Leadership, Innovation & Community at the September Luncheon
The Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce hosted one of its largest and most inspiring events of the year on Thursday, September 25, welcoming over 500 business and community leaders to Andiamo Warren for an afternoon packed with connection, leadership, and celebration. This luncheon also marked the official kickoff of the newly launched Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce — a proud new subchamber of SMCC dedicated to further serving the businesses and professionals of Sterling Heights.
A Keynote from Mayor Michael C. Taylor
Sterling Heights Mayor Michael C. Taylor delivered a compelling keynote speech that reflected on his deep partnership with the Chamber and the city’s strong track record of economic growth. He highlighted Sterling Heights’ council-manager form of government, a system that empowers professional leadership while maintaining strong elected oversight — a model increasingly recognized across the state for its efficiency, transparency, and business-friendly approach.
Chamber Chat Live! Makes Its Debut
The luncheon was also the filming site of the first-ever episode of Chamber Chat Live! — a brand new, professionally produced video series hosted by Emmy-winning journalist Josh Landon and powered by Hunch Free, a Chamber member company. This exciting platform will spotlight our members, elevate local business stories, and expand our digital reach across Metro Detroit.
$20,000 in Charitable Giving
As part of our ongoing commitment to community impact, the Chamber awarded $20,000 in charitable donations to four remarkable organizations:
Sterling Heights VFW
Sterling Heights Police Benevolent Fund
Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs
Neway Works
