Lake St. Clair’s largest networking event didn’t disappoint! With 37 boats and over 200 attendees, the SMCC Charity Boat Outing and VIP Rendezvous After Party brought together chamber members for an unforgettable day of connection, relaxation, and philanthropy. From start to finish, the outing showcased what makes the Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce so unique—uniting business leaders for a day of fun while supporting causes that make a real difference in our community.
The day kicked off with breakfast and the boat launch at HOOK Waterfront Restaurant, where attendees gathered to enjoy the beautiful summer morning before setting off for a private, beachside lunch at The Old Club. Boaters enjoyed stunning views of Lake St. Clair and lively conversation as they traveled between venues, making the outing one of the most dynamic networking experiences of the year.
Upon returning to HOOK, guests had the opportunity to continue the festivities at the VIP Rendezvous After Party, held at the home of Commodore Rob Vargo. This exclusive after-party featured food, beverages, live entertainment, and a poolside atmosphere that perfectly capped off the day. The combination of professional networking and a resort-like setting made the after party a true highlight for many attendees.
More than just a day on the water, this event served as a fundraiser benefiting our local nonprofits, including the North Gratiot Cruise Foundation, MCREST, and the Warren Community Foundation. With the incredible support of our members and sponsors—including Priority Waste as Presenting Sponsor and Highway Auto Parts as Gold Sponsor—this outing was a resounding success and set the tone for what is sure to become one of the Chamber’s most anticipated annual events.
