ANNUAL EVENTS

JUNE
CRUISIN' 53
With multitudes of beautiful and unique cars lining Van Dyke/M-53, great food and drink, rockin' live music and more planned, Cruisin' 53 has become a beloved annual party. The purpose of the cruise in addition to quality of life for the residents of Warren and Center Line is to raise revenue for local community investment in the two communities. A joint effort between the Warren Community Foundation and the Center Line Independence Festival.

JUNE (PARTNERED EVENT)
CENTER LINE INDEPENDENCE FESTIVAL
Center Line Independence Festival is a celebration of over 80 years of traditional small town lifestyle in the Heart of Metro-Detroit. The three day festival has live bands, a carnival, fireworks, food vendors, and craft vendors. The festival is organized by the City of Center Line and the Warren Community Foundation contributes to the marketing and event programming.

SEPTEMBER
NORTH GRATIOT CRUISE FOUNDATION
The North Gratiot Cruise is a one-day celebration of automobile history that attracts muscle cars, street rods, customs, collector cars, special interest vehicles and the people that love them. Expect to find your dream car, live music, great food vendors, parties and family fun. The Gratiot Avenue Chamber of Commerce has been presenting the North Gratiot Cruise for over a decade and in that time has granted $50,000 to community groups.

JUNE
RUN WARREN 5K FUN-RUN
Run Warren is a community 5K Run, Kids Fun Run, and Senior Walk to promote wellness and raise funds for The Warren Community Foundation to distribute to deserving groups and philanthropic organizations. The Warren Community Foundation was formed for the coordination, marketing, and implementation of various community events designed to promote the welfare of the city.

JUNE
CHAMBER AWARDS LUNCHEON
Each year the SEMC recognizes business leaders in our community who have made an outstanding mark on the betterment of our society. We present these awards at an all-member luncheon. Awards include Ted Wahby Elected Official of the Year, Jim Binson Business of the Year and Business Volunteers of the Year.

SEPTEMBER
CHESTERFIELD 5K
2021 will mark the first year of the Chesterfield 5K. This running event will be modeled after our Run Warren 5K and will join the slew of successful running events in Macomb County. Chesterfield 5K will be the morning programming for the North Gratiot Cruise and also organized by the Gratiot Avenue Chamber of Commerce. Details are to be announced.
OCTOBER
MCREST
Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team (MCREST) is an outstanding nonprofit and each year we partner in presenting the Good Samaritan Awards. Aside from a chance to thank the volunteers and churches that form the backbone of MCREST, the gala is the organizations biggest fundraiser of the year. Those funds are used to finance the programs and operational costs in support of MCREST's mission: offering temporary shelter to the homeless individuals and helping them transition to independence.
