John Long is the current COO of the Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce. A 2007 graduate of De La Salle and a proud alumnus of Central Michigan University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science-Pre Law, John has built an impressive career rooted in leadership, community engagement, and regional impact.

Before joining the Chamber, John spent ten years at the largest mortgage lender in America, Rocket Mortgage (formerly Quicken Loans), where he rose to the position of Vice President of the Mortgage Relocation Department. He has also played a pivotal role in numerous local political campaigns across Macomb County, further demonstrating his dedication to the region.

John’s leadership and influence have earned him several notable recognitions. He was honored as one of D-Business’s “30 in Their 30s”, named Hour Detroit’s “Face of Macomb County” for “Face of Business Connections,” and awarded Alignable’s Local Business Person of the Year in both 2024 and 2025.

In his current role at the Chamber, John is dedicated to enhancing membership experiences and establishing strategic partnerships. His focus is on diversifying the Chamber’s membership, expanding its reach, and ensuring it continues to provide first-class opportunities to its members. John’s favorite charity is St. Jude Children’s Hospital, reflecting his long-standing commitment to giving back.

His vision and leadership are instrumental in driving the Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce toward becoming the premier chamber in the state of Michigan.
